ICIS 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee

As part of the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2025 in Nashville, TennesseeLaura Schneider and Sophie Kuhlemann represented the Tiefenbeck Chair.

Laura Schneider presented her paper “Mind Over Machine: Navigating Human Metacognition When Using Generative AI”, while Sophie Kuhlemann presented her paper “Self-Set Goals and Sales Performance: A Field Experiment on Goal Setting and CRM-Enabled Feedback in B2B Sales.”

The conference offered numerous insightful perspectives on current research topics as well as many opportunities for academic exchange. We particularly enjoyed the discussions with our FAU colleagues Sandra ZilkerWilli Tang (Chair of Prof. Matzner), as well as Bastian Brechtelsbauer (Chair of Prof. Laumer) and Xhovana Prenga (Chair of Prof. Laumer). It was also a special pleasure to reconnect with Davinny Sou from the University of St. Gallen (Prof. Kowatsch), a valued colleague from our joint research consortium with the University of St. Gallen and ETH Zurich.

Beyond the scientific exchange, Nashville also offered authentic country flair, including live music and first attempts at line dancing.
